Shoebox Theatre Company is a community theatre company located in Toowoomba, Queensland. Local Toowoomba-ites Simon Duncan, Mary Quade and Helen Richards opened the small regional theatre company in 2014.  Shoebox Theatre Company are dedicated to producing and presenting quality theatre in intimate spaces.

It all started from a shared love of the theatre (in particular, musicals) where the team realised there were a plentiful supply of small cast shows but no-one in the Toowoomba area that presented them.  Why produce shows to pack a theatre of 1400 when you could put your energy into filling the local 300 seat theatres and at the same time bring something new to the region?  
Our aim is to engage all ages of the local community to be able to learn and improve new skills while producing great small theatre.

Stories entertain, teach, and captivate us…they can inspire us to be better people, remind us of times in our lives or help reveal the hidden mysteries of life. That is why we are committed to working with actors, creatives and musicians of the highest calibre.  Shoebox Theatre Company’s aim is to enliven the cultural atmosphere of the Toowoomba community by offering excellent, entertaining theatre.
